How to use compare mode
Keep the week constant, then watch which rule changes the pay.
- 1. Use the same rate and hours for both states. The comparison is only useful when the inputs are identical.
- 2. Pick states with different triggers. California, Alaska, Colorado, and Nevada are the fastest way to surface daily overtime differences.
- 3. Treat the delta like a review cue. A higher total means the rule set is more generous for this week, not that every payroll edge case is covered.
